Ford has confirmed that it will introduce the all-new, seventh Mustang on September 14. The brand is thus making a nice gift to the organizers of the Detroit Motor Show, who find there a beautiful gondola end for their show, back after more than three years of absence.
If Ford hasn't confirmed anything, this generation will surely be the first electrified Mustang. There's already an electric Mustang, the Mach-E, but it's a crossover. Here, we are talking about the real Mustang, the pony-car available in coupe and convertible. It remains to be seen whether an electrified version will be announced from the start of the new model, which obviously will not take any risks in terms of style.
According to the latest news, the Mustang should take over, depending on the market, the four-cylinder 2.3 Ecoboost and the V8 5.0. To this could be added a hybrid version, which would be perfectly suitable for Europe and in particular for the French market.
